I can't say whether we've met at Podunk, but the Keene connection is actually rather thin. We moved there about four years ago to have a base near our two sons (Concord, NH and Windham, VT), but we're on the road about seven months a year. We'll be at Podunk again this year as well as Jenny Brook and Strawberry Park. Hope to meet you there. - TedTed Lehmannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12948477139450253563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7211910878271447535.post-59337763759092195842009-10-17T22:46:04.393-04:002009-10-17T22:46:04.393-04:00Hi Ted. I wrote "Drowning Sailor" on Danny Paisley's latest CD, and co-wrote "Whispering Waters"(Audie Blaylock, James King); wrote a few other songs you may have heard. I live in central ME; born in Nashua NH; used to visit West Rindge NH. Maybe you know Wes McNair, a well-known poet who attended Keene State. He lives near me, and I've taken a few of his courses. I'm also an enthusiastic Democrat, which you seem to be. I've been at Podunk the last 2 years . . . could we have met there?
Stan KeachStan Keachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13447214895737540103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7211910878271447535.post-24691007120876220312009-05-27T07:00:12.422-04:002009-05-27T07:00:12.422-04:00To anonymous - My initial reaction to this post wa...To anonymous - My initial reaction to this post was to trash it. On second thought, I decided to leave it up as an example of the most cowardly sort of criticism...leaving a nasty and unsupported comment without being willing to sign one's name.
Before I wrote this profile and since, I've not heard a single word that would support the cheap shot you've taken here. Even when Dennis and I have disagreed about the music (which is pretty often) I've found his reasoning clear and consistent with the postures he takes on the air and in print. Your shot is just plain unfair and unfounded. - TedTed Lehmannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12948477139450253563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7211910878271447535.post-21223594519119473312009-05-26T13:19:51.826-04:002009-05-26T13:19:51.826-04:00Ah...there are at least two sides to everyone. Mr. Jones is a rude jerk if you come into Studio to play music he doesn't personally like (even tho another WNCW staff member has invited you to play live). I didn't see any of that Christian love he professes to have. Maybe cast a wider net for your profiles, Ted, or admit at the top that it's just a fluff piece.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7211910878271447535.post-73164140430065765452009-04-20T21:44:00.000-04:002009-04-20T21:44:00.000-04:00Great article!
