My Blog & Our Fan Page

Some readers of this blog are aware that Irene and I have put up a Facebook Fan Page, too.  Urged by Henri Deschamps of the Bluegrass Legacy, we reluctantly started this page.  It's been up for a couple of months now, and it's become clear to me that the Fan Page and this blog serve to complement each other.  Therefore, I'm urging those of you who have Facebook Pages to come on over and "Like" our Fan Page.  You can find it here:

While my blog will continue to cover a range of bluegrass events, experiences we have along the bluegrass trail, ideas about the bluegrass world, as well as to review books, some relevant to bluegrass and others reflecting my personal reading, our Fan Page, which we try to update daily, is more topical.  It contains lots of videos, some from our personal video archives and Video Channel (to which you can subscribe and receive notice of each video posted) with others culled from the mass of material available on YouTube.  It will often highlight an isolated event or video about an artist we admire or have seen but not recorded.  For the next couple of weeks, it will be heavy with videos of bands appearing at the upcoming Joe Val Bluegrass Festival, which will be previewed here tomorrow. (See how they're interrelated?) My own Facebook page will continue to be much more topical and idiosyncratic. It's mine; Irene's is hers.

We hope you'll continue to come here for one kind of bluegrass coverage and to visit and "Like" Ted and Irene's Most Excellent Bluegrass Adventure also.  I look forward to seeing all of you on the Web, and to meeting you at festivals or other events when our paths cross.
