Norman Adams and the Rodeheaver Boys Ranch present the 10th Annual Palatka Bluegrass Festival from February20 - 22, 2014 at the Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, just South of Palatka, FL on route Florida route 19. Only ten years old this year, Palatka was conceived as a major fund raiser for the Ranch, and has succeeded beyond the wildest imagination of Ranch personnel. They have build a spacious campground with over 500 water and electric sites as well as a large performance shed, offering protection from the elements for festival goers. The Ranch, conceived as a home for at risk boys by Homer Rodeheaver opened in 1950 on 600 acres along the St. John's River. About fifty boys live on the Ranch, attend the local public schools while working and studying in family-like settings in ten homes overseen by families providing solid parenting models for them. Ranch Director Ken Johnson and Director of Development Jeff King have overseen the development of this fine traditional bluegrass festival with Norman Adams as festival producer for ten years.
