MACC 2010 - Friday

Friday dawned clear and hot and stayed that way all day.  Occasional fleecy cumulus clouds scudded across the sky, but rain never threatened.  As the heat hovered in the low ninties, only the steady breeze made it bearable.  And the music. From Darin & Brooke Aldridge's opening set in their debut at MACC until singer/songwrite Shawn Camp closed well after midnight, the music was superb.  Ranging from highly traditional bluegrass to much more progressive bluegrass/country mix, the day was entirely satisfying to a music lover.  The support of musicians and attendees to this very important event, held as a benefit to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  If you're inclined to contribute despite the fact you couldn't be here, please send a check to:
