IBMA Fan Fest - Friday

On Friday IBMA changes from a trade show and professional conference into a bluegrass festival with one of the best and most diverse lineups anywhere. Ramrodded by Carl Jackson, whose contacts in the music industry are endless, the range of talent is beyond impressive. I'll post a selection of pictures from Friday night now and continue to dribble out pictures from IBMA over the next few months. In a day or so, I'll also post a link to a Picasa Web Album of pictures from Kids on Bluegrass, probably on Monday, for people who are interested in a more extensive look at the future of the music.

  1. Ted, Smitty of Neuse River Fan Club Mississippi, loved the picutres of IBMA, looked at every one of them.

I want to post briefly on your blog to recognize you as the newest card carrying member of the Neuse River Fan Club Mississippi. I read your comment on Dr. Bibey's blog and if you know what you do about Vicksburg, Natchez and Greenvile, then you are now a honorary member. Take care and as Doc says, it is good to meet a kindred spirit.

  2. Smitty - Thanks for the membership. When do I get my decal? Our trip to MS was not long enough, but we had enough time to get a feeling for a part of the state as well as to help us let go of some unfortunate Yankee misconceptions. We're planning to attend a bg festival in Leaksville next April. Maybe.... Please send me a private e-mail address. - Ted
